About Us

How We Got Started

Founder Cat Bailey grew up on the South Coast of Victoria, in Portland. Early experiences exploring isolated beaches and bushland with her family fostered deep ecological literacy. This foundational connection to country has shaped her entire somatic and artistic practice.

Between terms, whilst studying in Melbourne, she discovered spending time in a cave in Southern Victoria gave her a sense of peace. Meditating in caves, forests. mountains and beaches continued for thirty years whilst living and studying in Sydney and overseas. As a consequence she has developed a myriad of practices to connect deeply to nature. These practices have been enhanced, further developed and incorporate teachings from her Qi Gong masters, such the distinguished Qi Gong Master Li Ying, who is now deceased.

Looking back she realised she possibly spent last 40 years experimenting with nature connection, through meditation and art, in order to reset her nervous system and build emotional regulation.

Cat has a Degree in Fine Arts from the National Art School, Sydney, a Bachelor of Behavioural Science from La Trobe University, Melbourne and a Certificate in Initiatic Art Therapy.
